But now, following record deportations during the Obama administration, we have a new president elected on an explicitly bigoted, anti-immigrant and anti-LGBT platform.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Chicago LGBT Asylum Support Partners (CLASP) provides d<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/gallery.mailchimp.com\/57c194ba9b4712be34160a911\/images\/baed92f3-9a3b-489b-b8b8-3ce6afe40ba2.jpg\" width=\"200\" align=\"right\" height=\"103\">irect aid \u2013 housing, local transportation and other necessities \u2013 to LGBT asylum seekers in Chicago fleeing anti-LGBT discrimination and violence in their homelands.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>As the days for our foreign-born LGBT neighbors perhaps go from bad to worse, please stand up and be counted as one of those who proudly&nbsp;SUPPORT&nbsp;LGBT asylum seekers as they begin a new life in the United States.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Please come to a house dinner party fundraiser for CLASP,&nbsp;5 \u2013 10 pm, Saturday, January 28&nbsp;at the home of Andy Thayer and Aldo Hernandez in Chicago\u2019s Uptown neighborhood, 4745 N.
