Next Thursday: Big Anti-War March

GLN permalink 3-12-2010

From health care to education, public transit to housing, we're told that the reason why we can't have decent services is because there just isn't enough money.

This is a lie.

As insulting as George Bush's war policies were, it's fallen to President Obama to have the largest military budget in world history, including a $30 billion "surge" into Afghanistan.

In its disrespect for other countries' national soveignty, the United States has troops occupying over 130 nations around the globe and spends as much on its military as the rest of the world combined.

Please attend Chicago's big march on the 7th anniversary of the illegal invasion of Iraq:

5:30 PM, Federal Plaza
Thursday, March 18
(corner of Adams & Dearborn Streets)

There will be a short rally followed by a march on Michigan Avenue.

Join the LGBT Contingent

GLN's Brent Holman-Gomez will be coordinating a contingent of LGBT marchers who will be meeting underneath Federal Plaza's Calder sculpture at the start of the rally. Just look for the Rainbow flags and join us!! For more information, email LGBTliberation@aol.com

More information about the overall protest can be found at www.ChicagoMassAction.org
